he current St Michael's Cathedral, built next to the remains of the old, was designed by Basil Spence and Arup, built by John Laing and is a Grade I listed building.The cathedral was consecrated on 25 May 1962, and Benjamin Britten's War Requiem, composed for the occasion, was premiered in the new cathedral on 30 May to mark its consecration. Coventry's new cathedral adopted a modernist design. The interior is notable for its huge tapestry (once thought to be the world's largest) of Christ, designed by Graham Sutherland, the emotive sculpture of the Mater Dolorosa by John Bridgeman in the East end, and the Baptistry window designed by John Piper (made by Patrick Reyntiens), of abstract design that occupies the full height of the bowed baptistery, which comprises 195 panes, ranging from white to deep colours. The stained glass windows in the Nave, by Lawrence Lee, Keith New and Geoffrey Clarke, face away from the congregation.

The Mappa Mundi.It is a late 13th century summary of the contemporary world view and is a fascinating combination of biblical and classical learning. It is thought to have been created by richard of Haldingham or Lafford (a cleric). It was once described as a mind dump of the period. It is scribed on calves hide.

Masters of the school continued to complain re the lack of house and garden and in 1831 “Mr Murray presented a rood of land on Clauchan Farm” for the erection of a schoolhouse at a cost not to exceed £100. Anwoth Schoolhouse closed as a school in 1872 and the school and schoolmaster transferred to nearby Skyreburn. After its closure it was used for stabling horses and carriages which visited the Kirk, the tethering hook for which can still be seen on the schoolroom wall.

The detatched tower of St.Mary's a feature more commonly found on the European continent but rarely in England. The tower is 17th century, and stands on the site of an earlier church.Tower of St.Mary's Church 30th July 2017.

The home of Edward Jenner, The Chantry, Jenner's home in Berkeley for 38 years, is now a museum. Jenner inoculated local people, free of charge, in a one-room hut in the garden, which he called the "Temple of Vaccinia".

Ogbourne St.George, 31st August 2016.The church is Grade II listed and may be Norman in origin.The three-bay arcade of the south aisle is Early English Gothic and the arcade of the north aisle is slightly later.[2] The church's windows and bell tower are Perpendicular Gothic additions from later in the Middle Ages.
